STAGE 1 - SHADOWING
4 WEEKS
Objective:
Observe and learn foundational barbering techniques from experienced professionals.
Curriculum:
  • Introduction to Barbering: Gain insights into the barbering profession and industry standards.
  • Tools & Equipment: Watch demonstrations on the use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Basic Haircuts: Observe live demonstrations of basic trims and fundamental cutting techniques.
  • Safety & Hygiene: Learn about health and safety practices through observation of best practices in real client scenarios.
  • Practical Observation: Shadow experienced barbers, noting their techniques, client interactions, and problem-solving approaches.
Assesment:
Based on observational learning and understanding of fundamental concepts.
STAGE 2 - APPLICATION
4 WEEKS
Objective:
Develop and refine practical skills through hands-on experience and application of learned techniques.
Curriculum:
  • Advanced Haircuts: Practice advanced techniques such as fades, tapers, and texturizing on mannequins and supervised clients.
  • Creative Styles: Apply techniques to create trendy and customized haircuts.
  • Client Communication: Role-play and practice effective consultation methods and feedback management.
  • Product Knowledge: Use and recommend professional products in practical scenarios.
  • Practical Sessions: Hands-on cutting and styling with real clients under instructor supervision, focusing on applying learned skills.
Assesment:
Practical exams and evaluations based on execution of techniques, client interaction, and product application.
STAGE 3 - REAL WORLD
4 WEEKS
Objective:
Integrate and refine skills in a real-world environment, focusing on career preparation and professional growth.
Curriculum:
  • Master Cutting Techniques: Refine and perfect complex and advanced cutting techniques.
  • Business Skills: Learn the essentials of managing a barbershop, including marketing, client retention, and financial management.
  • Advanced Client Services: Offer specialized services, build a personal brand, and manage a diverse clientele.
  • Continued Education: Explore current industry trends, innovations, and opportunities for ongoing learning.
  • Final Project: Complete a capstone project that demonstrates comprehensive skills and prepares for a professional career in barbering.
Assesment:
Final practical and theoretical exams, presentation of the capstone project, and a career readiness review.
